Cardio MedBed EECP for heart & circulatory wellness.
Support better circulation with a noninvasive approach that works in rhythm with your heart. Cardio MedBed uses Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP) to help move blood back toward the heart and support the delivery of oxygen and nutrients throughout the body.
- Noninvasive external counterpulsation
- Inflatable cuffs synchronized with your heartbeat
- Designed to support heart and circulatory wellness

Help your circulation work more efficiently.
Good circulation helps deliver the oxygen and nutrients your body needs. If heart health, circulation or staying active is on your mind, EECP offers a noninvasive approach to explore with your healthcare team. Our focus is helping you understand how it works and whether it fits your health history and goals.
A closer look at circulation.
Enhanced External Counterpulsation is a clinically studied therapy used in cardiovascular care settings around the world. Research has evaluated its use in people with coronary artery disease, including support for blood flow to the heart.
During a session, you rest on a treatment bed while three pairs of inflatable cuffs wrap around the lower legs, upper legs and buttocks. The cuffs inflate in sequence during the resting phase of each heartbeat, then deflate before the next beat. This coordinated pressure helps increase the return of blood toward the heart.
01 · Start at the calves
The lower-leg cuffs inflate first, creating a pressure wave that helps move blood upward toward the heart.
02 · Continue through the thighs
The lower-thigh cuffs inflate next, followed by the upper-thigh cuffs. This sequence continues the upward movement of blood rather than compressing every cuff at once.
03 · Release in time with your heartbeat
The cuffs deflate before the heart’s next pumping phase. This timing is designed to reduce resistance and support more efficient cardiac work.
04 · Support alternate circulation pathways
EECP is designed to encourage circulation through small branches of blood vessels, which may help support alternate pathways around narrowed arteries.
Potential benefits of Cardio MedBed EECP.
Heart health and circulation are connected. Explore the ways EECP is designed to support both.
Support blood flow to your heart
EECP may support coronary blood flow, helping improve the supply of oxygen-rich blood to the heart muscle. This is a central reason the therapy is studied in cardiovascular care.
Help oxygen and nutrients reach your body
By supporting circulation, Cardio MedBed is designed to help transport the oxygen and nutrients that tissues need for everyday function.
Help your heart work more efficiently
The inflate-and-release cycle is timed with your heartbeat to support efficient cardiac work. EECP may also support cardiac output—the amount of blood the heart pumps.
Support healthier blood-vessel function
EECP may support nitric oxide and vascular health. Nitric oxide plays a role in helping blood vessels relax, making vascular function an important part of the circulation conversation.
Encourage natural circulation pathways
EECP may encourage angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels. Supporting smaller circulation pathways is one of the ways researchers explore its potential effects on blood flow.
Support healthy inflammatory processes
Cardio MedBed may support healthy inflammatory processes as part of its broader focus on vascular and circulatory wellness.
What to expect from EECP.
Understand the session experience and the health review that comes before treatment.
A rhythmic, noninvasive session
You remain on the bed while the cuffs apply and release pressure in a repeating sequence. Treatment is delivered from outside the body, without an incision. Before your treatment, we’ll explain the equipment, discuss comfort and confirm the session plan with you.
The right fit starts with your health history
EECP is not suitable for everyone. Your cardiovascular history, medications and individual needs should be reviewed by a qualified healthcare professional before treatment. If you have a heart condition, discuss EECP with your cardiologist as part of your existing care—not as a reason to stop prescribed treatment.
