How it worksDelivers specific acoustic frequencies that stimulate cells and the nervous system, improve microcirculation, and support the body’s natural healing processes.Sends high-energy waves from the applicator head that spread out in a radial pattern, stimulating blood flow, breaking up scar tissue, and triggering repair.High-energy waves are focused to a specific depth and area, creating a stronger mechanical effect at the target while sparing the tissue around it.Delivers very fast pressure pulses that stimulate cell signaling, increase circulation, activate growth factors, recruit stem cells, and promote tissue regeneration.
Treatment sensationGentle vibrations and sound. Very comfortable and relaxing.Moderate to strong tapping sensation. May feel sore during treatment.Moderate to strong. May feel deep pressure or tapping at the target.Gentle, comfortable pressure pulses. Most patients relax.
Best way to think of itRe-tunes the body and wakes up the cells.Loosens tight tissue and breaks up roadblocks.A precisely aimed tool that goes deep.Sends a wake-up call to the body’s healing and regeneration systems.

Primary action
Mechanical stimulation to break up tissue and jump-start healing
Best for
  • Tendon injuries
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Tennis elbow
  • Shoulder pain
  • Shin splints
  • Muscle attachment pain
How it works
Sends high-energy waves from the applicator head that spread out in a radial pattern, stimulating blood flow, breaking up scar tissue, and triggering repair.
Treatment sensation
Moderate to strong tapping sensation. May feel sore during treatment.
Best way to think of it
Loosens tight tissue and breaks up roadblocks.
Mechanical

Focused Shockwave

Best for
  • Deep tendon disorders
  • Bone healing
  • Non-healing fractures
  • Calcific shoulder
  • Chronic soft tissue injuries
  • Erectile dysfunction
How it works
High-energy waves are focused to a specific depth and area, creating a stronger mechanical effect at the target while sparing the tissue around it.
Treatment sensation
Moderate to strong. May feel deep pressure or tapping at the target.
Best way to think of it
A precisely aimed tool that goes deep.

The big difference

Radial & Focused Shockwave

Primarily mechanical therapy.

It creates physical stress in the tissues to break up scar tissue, reduce pain, and stimulate the body’s repair crew.

Works from the outside in.

ReGen RCT®

Primarily biologic / regenerative therapy.

It stimulates cellular communication, improves circulation, encourages growth factors and stem cell activity, and optimizes the body’s natural healing.

Works from the inside out.

A simple way to understand it

Radial / Focused Shockwave

Imagine a garden with hard, packed soil.

Shockwave loosens the ground, breaks up rocks and debris, and removes obstacles so new growth can occur.

Best when used together

ReGen RCT®

Once the soil is ready, ReGen RCT® nourishes the garden: feeding the cells, improving circulation, and encouraging healthy growth and long-term healing.

A closer look

Two approaches. Your goals come first.

ESWT stands for extracorporeal shock wave therapy. It uses pulses applied from outside the body to a targeted area, with the aim of stimulating the body’s natural repair processes.

We offer both Radial ESWT and CellSonic ESWT. Our team will discuss where you feel discomfort, your health history and your recovery goals to help determine which approach is appropriate.

Two approaches. One personal plan.

We offer Radial ESWT and CellSonic ESWT. Our team discusses which approach fits your area of concern.

  • Radial ESWT · broader, surface-level support

Radial ESWT spreads pressure pulses across a broader area, with the strongest energy near the applicator. It is an option to discuss for muscle, tendon and other soft-tissue concerns closer to the surface.

  • CellSonic ESWT · for deeper pain concerns

We offer CellSonic ESWT for deeper pain concerns. This approach uses targeted acoustic shock waves to support tissue recovery. We’ll explain how it differs from radial treatment and whether it fits the area you want to address.

Move toward more comfortable days.

Explore potential benefits for selected tendon and soft-tissue conditions. An assessment helps determine whether treatment is right for you.

  • Pain relief

ESWT may help reduce pain associated with selected tendon and soft-tissue conditions. Common clinical applications include plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinopathy. An assessment helps determine whether treatment is suitable for your particular concern.

  • Support your body’s repair response

Shockwave treatment can stimulate local blood flow and support the body’s healing response in the treated area. Recovery support is one reason people explore ESWT for persistent tendon and soft-tissue discomfort.

  • Move toward the activities you enjoy

When pain and discomfort improve, everyday movement may become easier too. Your goals might include more comfortable walking, staying active or returning to the activities you enjoy.

Know what to expect.

Understand the experience before you begin.

  • What a session feels like

A practitioner applies treatment to the selected area using a handheld applicator, without an incision. You may feel tapping, pressure or discomfort during the session. Temporary tenderness, redness or bruising can occur afterward. Before booking, discuss your medications and health conditions with our team so we can assess whether treatment is suitable. We’ll explain the process, discuss your comfort and walk you through the recommended session plan.
